Is there any difference between RBS and PPBS?

RBS is random blood sugar which is measuring blood sugar when the blood sample is collected anytime regardless of whether you have eaten or not. RBS: also used for monitoring of glucose, the sample taken irrespective of eating any time. PPBS: Prior to this test, after an overnight fasting (at this time FBS is taken, patient consumes meal, after 11/2 to 2 hrs the sample taken from the vein is to be tested for blood glucose levels.

Rbs is a random blood sugar measuring test that can be done before or after eating. Ppbs, however, is a post prandial blood sugar test which is conducted after a meal. So these two are different from each other.
