Hello lybrate-user, Metaprolol tablets have adverse effects such as difficulty in breathing, seizures, hypoglycemia, extreme weakness etc. If you feel such things are happening then I would suggest you to take him to hospital. Intravenous Glucagon and other ccium channel blockers on with atropine is used in hospital setting. You can monitor the patient, give him fluids to drink and consult me in any dire need. Thank you.
