I am 46 years male. My problem is hypertension. I don't know exactly how it occurs. But it occurs at least 5 to 6 times it in a day especially after I take any type of food. I checked my BP during this hypertension time and it is always 150-100. Also I had regular checkups and all lab reports were fine. Recently I consulted a doctor who had prescribed Lostat 25 mg at night time and I could sleep well after taking it. But again in day time my heart beat raises and pressure goes up & down. Is there any other good medicine you can suggest for my above issues. Thanks in advance Giju Mathew.

Mr. lybrate-user You have to be serious about blood pressure Either throug local family doctor You may have to take medicine Or if you want very good evaluation before medicine Couple of investigations are required You can consuly me.

Mr. lybrate-user, hypertension is one of a dangerous health problems in the developing nation of india, but you should also realise that blood pressure tends to differ from time to time in a single day ,for example when you wake up from sleep in morning it ll tend to be low ,while it ll be high on average during mid day ,you should take an average of recording your blood pressure 4 times a day with interval of 4 hours each and keep a record of it .do reach me out after you have done with this help.
