Hello Thanks for the query. First of all you should know what glutathione is. It is an anti oxidant which captures free radicals and reduces skin pigmentation. Any drug has side effects and it holds true for glutathione too. it is been widely used in market as skin whitening cream and shows some improvement too. The side effects are not much and can be used safely but the effect will last only till the time you take the medicine. Once you stop skin color will revert back. Glutathion helps in skin lightening, but Injectable form of glutathion is only approved for the use to treat liver diseases and not for skin lightening because of potential dose related side-effects. 35-40 injections are needed, placed at 2-3 day intervals.
