Why is setra 50 mg is prescribed for? If only someone with mental issues can take it. I would like to know in detail for what kind of issues and for how much severeness, this medicine can be taken? Also that if anyone while feeling sad can take this (without any issues like depression, anxiety just some sadness)? Or if is advised to be taken due to heartbreak / emotional break?

Sertraline is an SSRI used for treating depression and anxiety. It should be used only on prescription by a psychiatrist. Please do not take it unsupervised, since like all other medicines it can also cause side effects.
