I am 24 and have hypothyroidism. Tsh is 9.96.i have severe back pain in left side for last two months. That pain is radiated to my left leg and swelling. No problem in spinal cord mri. This swelling is related to hypothyroidism. Pls rply.

Hello, Thanks for the query. Hypothyroidism if not we'll controlled does lead to muscle & joint pain. However, the back pain described doesn't appear to be due to hypothyroidism. Please get it properly checked by an orthopedian. As regards TSH it should be maintained around 3 to 4 mU/L then only symptoms are in check. Thanks.
