I am diabetic since 18 years. I am 61 now. My sugar used to be nowadays 140 to 155 fasting. PP is about 220 to 230. I was taking Galvusmet 50/1000 in the morning and Gemer1 in the night. Sometimes in the morning my sugar drops to 60 to 70. Now my doctor asked me to stop Galvusmet and take Gemer 1 in the morning only. My last HBA1c was 5.7. Can I continue with Gemer 1 alone.

Please follow the instructions given by the doctor as he has been monitoring your health and can judge your prognosis (based on clinical assessment and all the reports ). The intension of treatment is not to gain perfection but to maintain a fair balance considering your body nature and lifestyle. You should coordinate with your doctor and discuss your plans about diet and exercise (so that the medicines given can be adjusted and you do not land up with drastic changes in blood sugar levels, especially hypoglycemic episodes ).
