I have junevile Diabetes (type-1) from 12 years. On the end of November 2017's night due to occurrence of hypoglycemia with epilepsy my shoulder got dislocated with minute crack. I undergone shoulder reduction in local hospital but the doctor can't fix the issue. Here I told the doctor I had Diabetes problem and how the shoulder get dislocated. Then I shifted to another hospital there due to some reasons my parents told that the incident happened due to an accident. There I was again undergone shoulder reduction with surgery. K wire was used here. Now I was fine somehow. But upto 60% of my shoulder movements are restricted. My question: Is there any specific treatment for shoulder dislocated due to hypoglycemia? Also how can a diabetic person (type 1) gain weight? HbA1c - 8.3 (currently) HbA1c-7.2 (before 3 months)

Mr. lybrate-user, Thanks for the query. There's no relationship between hypoglycemia and dislocation of shoulder joint. That is purly due to fall & injury. Further there's no special treatment due to hypoglycemia. As regards the weight gain, a diabetic person can gain weight & build muscles too. But first blood glucose has to be under better control. HbA1c % should be around 6.8% After achieving good control and adding extra proteins to diet one can build muscles. Thanks.
