Hi I am 35 m, I am having some pain on and off on right leg shin (on right leg, 10 cm above ankle, on muscular front part of leg, little below of leg bone)not in calf I never had pain there before, but from 4-5 days, in and off pain occurs. I feel some bulge is occurring in that area. Pain is not heavy. But it's bothering. I said shin splints, that's what I got to know when I searched for that area of leg. Is it not related to dvt? please highlight.

Shin splint pain affect people who have moderately to heavy physical activity. Its a comulative stress on the bone muscles and the joint. Treatment is keep your leg elevated, use ice packs ,wear elastic compression bandages, use a form roller to massage your shin. Strengthening exercises of calf and hip muscles and wearing shoes that fit well and offer good support DVT happens when a blood clot forms in a vein deep in the body usually the lower leg or the thigh.
