I am 28 years old female, I have been suffering from polycystic kidney disorder. Now there are multiple variable sized innumerable cysts with largest measuring about 5 cm in each kidney. In a recent ultrasound one of them even showed low level echoes levelling which the scan report concluded represent inflammation. So should I consider any surgical intervention now? Could you shed some light on what should be my future course of action?

In PCKD usyaly no surgical indication needed untill or unless threre is no response of conventional antibiotics, chronic pain or severe haemorrhage. Check and keep watch on your renal parameters. Do family screening for PCKD. Not to take nephrotoxic drugd/dyes/contrast etc consult with nephrologist if symptoms persist.
