I am 48 years old, 180 cm, 66 kg weight male. During my last month's routine blood test, I found that my TSH level was 7.91. The T3 and T4 were 80 and 6.3 respectively. The doctor asked me to get the test done again after a month. In the latest test, the TSH is 8.61. The FT3 and FT4 are 2.97 and 1.43. The doctor has asked me to take Thyronorm 25 mcg daily. My questions: 1. Should this be taken for lifelong? What if I stop taking after the TSH returns to normal? 2. My BP is 140/90, but not on any medication. Is there any side effect with Thyronorm? 3. Is there is a permanent remedy through Homeopathy or Ayurveda?
