Recently, my wife got diabetes fasting 298 pp374 after 15 days of treatment now it is 109 and 141. Is she a diabetic? We have to continue treatment or not? What we have to do please give advice. Is the first report wrong?

Mr. Thanks for the query. When proper medication is being taken with correct diet and exercise, blood glucose does come under control. That does not mean that your earlier report was wrong. It only means she is having a controlled diabetes. Please check her HbA1c%, that gives an idea of control over previous 3 months. If you are in doubt, then get an Oral Glucose Tolerance Test (OGTT) done, that will give a clear idea about her status of diabetes. Usually diabetes once diagnosed remains for lifetime, hence treatment is required throughout. Thanks.
