Mr. lybrate-user, Thanks for the query. The blood glucose readings & HbA1c% all look very well controlled. But GFR of 32 ml/min is too low, which is the reason for high creatinine. You have not mentioned what are the drugs being taken for controlling glucose. High creatinine and low GFR show that your kidney functions are compromised. You need to consult a nephrologist and a diabetologist locally. Thanks.

Hello, Thanks for your query on Lybrate "As" per your clinical history is concerned your serum creatinine is high and your GFR is low so you have some problem in your kidney so do a clinical examination now and do one ultrasound examination.Do follow lifestyle modification to prevent further damage- 1)Eat healthy foods. Try the Dietary Approaches to Stop Hypertension (DASH) diet, which emphasizes fruits, vegetables, whole grains and low-fat dairy foods. Get plenty of potassium, which can help prevent and control high blood pressure. Eat less saturated fat and total fat.Discuss with your dietician to make a chart. 2)Decrease the salt in your diet. 3)Try to maintain a healthy weight. If you're overweight, losing even 3 kilograms can lower your blood pressure. 4)Try to increase physical activity. Regular physical activity can help lower your blood pressure and keep your weight under control. Strive for at least 30 minutes of physical activity a day. 5)Try to limit alcohol and avoid smoking. 6)Try to reduce stress as much as possible. Practice healthy coping techniques, such as muscle relaxation and deep breathing and try to sleep more than 10 hours a day. 7)Monitor your blood pressure at home. Home blood pressure monitoring can help you keep closer tabs on your blood pressure, show if medication is working, and even alert you and your doctor to potential complications. Hope that helps
