Respected sir, If someone is suffering from severe OCD and his IQ test score is 57at that time. But after sometime he get cured and normal like us. Can his IQ range be between 85-115. Is it possible that his IQ range lies in normal range.

IQ (Intelligence Quotient) is just an estimate of Intelligence based on test performance. It can vary depending upon various parameters. Every test has some limitations. If the IQ test depends on speed of response, and OCD is leading to increased response time, there is a possibility for erroneously low IQ finding. IQ of 70 and above is usually regarded as normal, but there are several limitations. Any responsible Practitioner will not solely rely on IQ report for formulating a management plan. The person conducting the test shall be in the best position to explain the implications of findings.
