Dear Lybrate user, You have not mentioned your bp or sugar level - for your problem you have to follow a healthy lifestyle including a well balanced diet with restrictions for bp & high sugar, do regular exercise, sleep well & reduce stress to the minimum - have more of fibre containing foods such as fruits, vegetables including green leafy ones, whole grains like wholewheat, brown rice, oats, corn instead of refined ones, legumes, a handful of mixed nuts like almonds, walnuts, pista, cashews, peanuts - have low fat milk & dairy products, heart healthy fats as in fish such as salmon, mackeral, tuna, nuts such as almonds, walnuts, pista, avocados & flax seeds - restrict salt, avoid sugar (use herbs) in diet, avoid fried, processed & junk foods, trans & saturated fat containing foods, namkeens, pickles, papads, bakery items, sweets, reduce carbohydrates & increase protein items in diet - do regular exercise like brisk walking, jogging, swimming, play an outdoor game, do moderate weight lifting for 10-15 min twice a week, also include yoga, meditation & deep breathing in your daily schedule, if possible try to take a walk for 5-10 min after meals to bring the sugar level under control - have 4-5 small meals rather than three large meals for proper digestion - destress by proper sleep for 7-8 hers at night, read, listen to music - monitor bp, sugar, if no significant change after three months then medicine may be required.
