2 weeks before I went for sugar test. It was 412 after meal. I was shocked because till May- 2017 I had no diabetes. Yesterday again went for check up, it was 169 on fasting. Doing everyday 6 kilometer walking, not taking any sweet item, rice and potato. What more precautions do I do ~ please suggest.

Hello, Thanks for the query. Fasting 169 mg & PP 412 mg both are suggestive of presence of uncontrolled diabetes. All the precautions being taken by you are finr including walking for 6 kms. However, because there is uncontrolled diabetes, there is a need for starting specific anti-diabetic treatment with certain drugs. Because such high glucose levels will not come under control by only the measures being taken by you. So please come with following information in a private conversation (paid consultation) - fasting, PP glucose levels, HbA1c%, present dietary pattern, BP readings, lipid profile and details of any medications being taken, then I will be able to give specific guidance and also prescribe necessary drugs. In this communication we supposed to give only general guidelines, no prescriptions are allowed. If you are not keen on getting online help, please initiate immediate treatment after consulting your local doctor or a diabetologist. Because such high glucose levels damage all vital organs. It is a serious matter. Not taking sugar & sweets is fine. But every type of food that we eat like roti, chapati, rice, idli, dosa, or any other items, every thing is converted to glucose after digestion. Because your pancreatic beta cells are not producing adequate Insulin, this problem has occurred. Thanks.
