Lybrate-user ji, Thanks for the query. Yesterday I did answer a query related to this. In that there was no mention of you taking any tablets (Levothyroxine 88 mcg, must be 87.5 mcg). Since you are on treatment then TSH should be brought down around 3 to 4 mU/L. Then the current dose may not be adequate. Secondly taking the alternate therapy medicines as mentioned you may do so. That particular therapy is more of a placebo, with hardly any medicinal effect at all. Please remember, there is NO CURE, for hypothyroidism. It can only be controlled. Treatment is for life time. Since you are very young, it absolutely essential to control TSH very effectively. Because higher levels affect menstruation and fertility. Thanks.
