Hi, I am 29 year old and in ultrasound report found 3.8 mm Gladstone. Could you pls advise correct treatment to dissolve? Or I need to do operation? Right now I am not experiencing any pain.

Gallstones usually do not dissolve. Definite treatment is surgery. But if there is no pain then you can delay the surgery, it’s not an emergency.

Since the gall-stone is small you could try a course of medication to dissolve it. The gall-stones when they are in the gall-bladder usually do not cause pain. However sometimes they get stuck in the neck or in the outlet tubes causing severe pain and jaundice. Kindly consult a good physician.
