Initially, my mother diabetic result was 220 pre-meal and 240 post meal. Then diabetic level decreased to 160 pre meal and 180 post meal when she was taking janumet 500 in the morning and glycomet 250 in the evening. However currently, doctor prescribed her janumet 500 and glycomet 500 and her sugar level is 120 pre meal. But she is always feeling dizziness and weakness. Please suggest.

Mr. lybrate-user, Thanks for the query. I have gone through the details given. It appears her blood glucose levels are in good control. Ideally when diabetes is in good control, fasting glucose should be < 100 mg, PP 150 to 160 mg & HbA1c% < 6.8. You have not mentioned HbA1c% values, that is actually a better measure to know long term control. Dizziness may be due to high BP (readings not mentioned) or may be due to certain nutritional deficiencies. Please check her hemogram as well as Vit D3 & B12 levels. Thanks.
