My blood group is A+ve and my wife is A-ve we have a son born on 01-08-2011 after the birth she got rhogam injection now she is again pregnant my question is that whether she needs a fresh injection or not as the gynecologist told that she will be protectected upto 5 years. You are requested to advise me in this situation. Thanking you in anticipation.

First get your wife's ICT test done .if negative she will have to receive antiD Vaccine at 28-30 weeks of pregnancy. 2nd antiD Vaccine will be given within 72 hrs of delivery if babies bld group is rh-ve.

When baby will deliver, you will have check his/ her blood group. If negative then injection is not required but if blood group is positive then you have to give her injection.
