I am taking Cilnidipine 10 mg and Ecosprin AV 75/10, My BP remains 140/80. Can I stop Ecosprin AV 75/10 or reduce it to alternate days. Doctor have advised that I cannot stop, while some doctors has advised that I may discontinue. Please elaborate as I do physical exercise about 30-40 mins everyday.

Ecosprin-AV 75 Capsule is a combination of two medicines: Atorvastatin and Aspirin / Acetylsalicylic acid which prevent heart attack and stroke. Atorvastatin is a lipid-lowering medication that blocks an enzyme required in the body to make cholesterol. It lowers the "bad" cholesterol (LDL), triglycerides and raises the "good" cholesterol (HDL). Aspirin / Acetylsalicylic acid prevents the platelets from sticking together and decreases the formation of harmful blood clots. As advised by the doctor, its recommended not to stop any medicine.
