I'm in 23rd week of pregnancy. My age is 24.In scan it is stated that placenta posterior and edge of the placenta is overlapping the internal os. My cervical length is 4.2 cm. Is it safe for the baby? What are the steps to be taken to be safe. please suggest me.

You're having low lying placenta ,you should avoid prolonged standing ,do not lift heavy objects ,do not over strain yourself ,avoid travelling ,maintain abstinence. Drink lots of water and take high fibre diet to avoid constipation. Get an ultrasound done at 34 weeks of pregnancy ,if placenta migrates upwards then fine ,if placenta is low lying Then you may require caeserian section.
