Hi, I'm 26 year old male. I do weight training 4 to 5 times. Recently, I found out that I have an IT band syndrome. The band is rubbing on the side of my pelvis bone. Because of this syndrome I experience knee pain and some pain near the area where the band is rubbing against the bone. I have start incorporating stretching specifically directed towards this syndrome. Now my question is it is safe to perform weigh training in the presence of this syndrome. On my leg workout day I perform weighted squat, deadlift, lunges, hip trust. Again, my question do I have to stop working out my legs until the syndrome corrects it self or is it ok to work out. Fitness is really integral part of my life and it completes me. But this syndrome is really hampering my state of mind. Hence, I would like to ask if I can continue weight training especially legs until the syndrome correct it self or do I have to stop.
