I was diagnosed with agoraphobia and ocd, I?m having this problem from past 7 years, I?m unable to go out alone out of house, metro trains or even any transportation services, my heart starts to beat heavily and eyes go blur and feel like faint and head starts to twitch if I go out. I was on fluvoxamine for 3 years how ever stopped taking it voluntarily but through a doctor I tapered it slowly, it?s been 8 months without medicine, fluvoxamine helps with my anxiety but I get body burning sensation wen I take it, so stopped it, I?m always at home and cannot leave home, coz I have these symptoms if faint, blurry eyes and neck twitching, from past 3 months I have been going out in car with the help of my friend, daily rounds in car and nothing else, and yes I was doing meditation from 3 months as well and yet the problem persists.

Hello, Sometime you need to take medication for long time probably life long. Its same as diabetes to keep your sugar under control you need to take 1 or 2 pill every day. If 1 or 2 pills keep you symptom free and you can work normally then its better to take medication rather suffering from illness. There are many medication available which can be used to counter side effect or which can be replaced if side effects are not manageable. These illness are caused due to deficiency of neurotransmitter so you will be needing medication to replace it. Meditation will act as a support but will not cure it. Consult your practitioner. You can consult me for any further help required. Best wishes.
