What's the difference between sebaceous filaments and blackheads? I want to use activated charcoal for my skin. Is that preferable?

Sebaceous filaments are yellowish thread like projections from your skin. Blackheads are open comedones which contain keratin debris with melanin. Both arise from sebaceous glands. Activated charcoal containing masks can help to a little extent but not permanently.
