My thyroid tests results are T3: 0.81, T4: 4.2, TSH 37.62, Anti TPO Antibody: 1000. This is the first time I got my thyroid tests conducted. I hv started out on 100 mg thyroid tablets. Do I need to take any further medicines to get my anti TPO to normal range. Any specific diet to be followed? Are the results scary. How long will it take to get back the figures to normal. Any other tests to be conducted?

If you do not have goitre or localized swelling in neck no other test is required. Get TSH test done after one month, to monitor therapy. Avoid turnip radish cabbage cauliflower mustard mustard green soyabean. These are called gotrogens which increase the size of thyroid gland.
