I have hypothyroidism past 18 yrs. I have been regularly tkng Eltroxin 100 mcg without fail. every year I got my thyroid tested n was within limits. This year my T3 is 99.68 T4 8.60 ie in normal range. But my TSH is high ie 7.15. I was suggested to get my anti TPO tested which showed 20.58 high. Kindly suggest what can be done?

You have to increase the dose of Eltroxin.

Hello, Thanks for the query. When one is on treatment with adequate dose of Levothyroxine, then TSH would be maintained around 3 to 4 mU/L, at that level all the symptoms are in check. Since TSH is high there's a need to increase the dose by 12.5 mcg and then check TSH after 6 weeks. Thanks.
