lybrate-user ji, Thanks for the query. In person's with hypothyroidism, unless TSH is well controlled (3 to 4 mU/L), weight gain does occur. However, with 157.48 cms height, your weight (55 kgs) is fine with a BMI of 22.26 kgs/Sq met (normal < 23 kgs/Sq met). It is better to increase the intake of raw green leafy vegetables, salads and fruits. Plus always use whole grain flour (without sieving) and avoid bakery items, foods made from maida. Plus exercise for 1 hour a day. Thanks.
