Hi Sir, My wife Tsh level was 16. A week later it is 9.5. T3 and t4 levels are normal and there no symptoms of thyroid as of now. Is it curable? Should we go for medication or exercise alone can help? Is it chronic in nature?

Hello, Thanks for the query. TSH if raised between 6 to 9.9 mU/L is considered as Sub-clinical hypothyroidism and if above 10mU/L then it is confirmed hypothyroidism. Usually there is hardly any change in a weeks time. Because TSH change takes over 4 weeks after starting treatment. Sometimes the symptoms may not be very clear. But those can be troublesome and can be serious too if treatment is not given. Being a hormonal deficiency disease, there is a constant need for supplementing that particular hormone. So there is no cure. Thanks.
