Hello lybrate-user Depression is becoming very challenging day by day for patient as well as professionals .cases of depression and many mental problems are increasing day by day due to changing society and environment. But there are many peoples who have overcome from the phase of extreme depression and are very successful now.In your case its effecting your routine and daily life. You need both medicine as well as counselling. There are few things that you have to do and you will see the difference. Make yourself busy as much as you can, make some good friends with whom you can share every thing. Develop some hobbies .don't think about your problem for few days ,for example make target that for 2 days you will just make yourself busy and will not think about any topic just do whatever makes you happy. Slowly by slowly increase the days although initially thoughts will come but slowly you will see the change. There are many other ways through which a counsellor can help along with medicines.
