Hi Sir, I am Thyroid patient since long, was on 75 mcg thyronorm from past 2 years, in todys blood test my TSH with empty stomach is .55 that is in normal level, referral range is .34-5.6 Should I reduce the dosage if yes then how much? What basically I should avoid to eat to control thyroid!

You need to continue same dose otherwise level will rise again. Food has no role.

lybrate-user ji, Thanks for the query. TSH 0.55 mU/L is within normal range but on the lower side. It is better to maintain around 3 to 4 mU/L. You may reduce the dose by 12.5 mcg to 62.5 mcg (50 mcg + 12.5 mcg). Then check TSH after 6 to 8 weeks to see if desired level is achieved or not. Thanks.
