Im diabetes having reading approx fasting 150 + n pp 250+.Im on insulin 28 n 30 nyt + Vida 50 n 1000 metformin. How can I manage my problem can diet also helpful control. I take 60 ml alcohol 3 in week. I want reduce my insulin if possible than, how. Please advise.

Mr. lybrate-user, Thanks for the query. Ideally blood glucose should be maintained in the following manner: fasting < 100 mg, PP 160 to 170 mg / 100 ml & HbA1c% < 6.8 (for persons above 60 years <7 may be fine). Since there is no mention about weight, height, dietary pattern, extent of daily exercise, it is difficult comment. Unless all those details are given, there is no way to understand the situation.
