I am a diabetic age 42 yrs. And diabetic from last 6 yrs. 9 month back I was detected for low vitamin b12, level was 201. Is that injection is advisable or tablet is OK. Now a days my vision getting blurt, tiredness, lazy, short term memory. Pls advice.

201 is not that low to take injection. Tablet will do.

Mr. lybrate-user, Thanks for the query. I have seen the details given. For Vitamin B12 deficiency you can take tablets of methylcobalamine for some days. Tablets or injections really do not matter. As regards the problem with vision, it is necessary to get your eyes checked for ruling out development of cataract and retinal involvement. It is absolutely essential to have a strict glucose control with fasting < 100 mg, PP 150 to 170 mg and HbA1c% < 6.8. If you have any questions please do come back. Thanks.
