Hello. Autism diagnosis would be made by only a professional after complete evaluation and examination. If you feel he has symptoms suggestive of autism then take him to a psychiatrist. He/ she would guide you better. Don't presume thing n get distressed. Consult first.

I wish, I could answer your question satisfactorily. We really don't know for sure what causes autism. Different children have different causes, so it's management is child specific. It's a team effort to make their life as normal as possible. It also depends on associated illnesses if any e.g. Epilepsy. But fortunately many children as they grow old are able to lead near normal to normal life. And this is what is important. Stay tuned to your developmental Paediatrician and he will be able to guide you to negotiate this difficult period of life and it won't last long.

Very true, you will be able to know the prognosis once you start the therapies. Occupational therapy (SI) is must.
