Hi, Recently my mom (Age 48) did tested TSH, Shockingly it found to be 100, Now she is using eltroxin 100 mg. Will it be okay if she continues it or she have to take any extra dose? Kindly Suggest.

She should continue. No she doesn't need to take an extra dose. Your doctor will over a period of time adjust the dose, do not do it yourself.

lybrate-user ji, Thanks for the query. Dosage of Levothyroxine is calculated on the basis of T4, TSH values and body weight, height. So unless I have all those details there is no way to answer the query. Please check present TSH & T4 levels and come back. Also inform her weight, height, thanks.
