Doctor can you please let me know whether hypothyroidism can be cured completely or not as it just on the border line and I am having homeopathy treatment for that and in addition what should I do to cure it.

lybrate-user ji, Thanks for the query. Please clarify what do you mean by "borderline hypothyroidism" There is no such term used. WHen TSH is 6 to 9.9 mU/L it is considered as sub-clinical hypothyroidism. Usually no treatment is advocated. Only in situations where there are troublesome symptoms present even with lower (subclinical) TSH, treatment is initiated with Levothyroxine. Only treatment for hypothyroidism is taking adequate dose of Levothyroxine. There is NO Homeopatic Treatment. Because it is hormone deficiency disease, that can only be treated by supplementing the hormone. If anyone has developed hypothyroidism, then treatment is for lifetime. It is a very simple disease if proper supplement is given, Thanks.
