Hi, I have thyroid from last 2 Year. When checked first TSH was 8.7 and doctor suggested to take Eltroxin 50 mcg. Checked yesterday now TSH level has gone to 9.8, do I have to increase the dose or continue with same 50 mcg.

Hello, Thanks for the query. WHen one is on treatment with adequate dose of Levothyroxine, TSH is maintained around 3 to 4 mU/L, at that level all the symptoms of hypothyroidism are in check. Since your TSH is 9.8 mU/L, means current dosage is not enough. There has to be an increase in the dose. Thanks.
