Hi lybrate-user, Kindly note that milk with tea per say does not effect the weight as long as milk is skim in nature and the sugar is a sugar free substitute. However if the milk is cow's milk or buffalo's milk then, the chances of gaining weight with regular consumption of tea twice in the day could lead to weight gain. It is also very important to note that if a person has intolerance or sensitivity to milk, then, milk should be avoided, as consumption would lead to heaviness and bloating. For people who like tea, but cannot have milk, can make a homemade almond milk of 6-8 soaked almonds and make tea out of that milk. However it should be kept in mind that overall almond consumption of the day should be monitored top not use excess of almonds through the milk and nuts consumption. Kindly suggest that you can have skim milk tea with no sugar added and add more ginger, mint, lemongrass, elaichi powder to get anti inflammatory benefits of tea. If you have acidity but still like to have tea, then eat a fruit 30 mins before consuming tea to avoid acidity attacks.
