Sir / madam. I am 24 years old sports person. I injured my lower back in March 2018. MRI shows diffuse bulge discs at l4l5, l5s1. I have no pain in lower back or in legs. But only discomfort. In my outer part of my left thigh and my left butt. I have no sciatica. Some doctors told me bulge at these discs is normal. But I want to resume my practice. So please tell me will I be cured or I have to tolerate it through out my life. Please.

Dear lybrate-user For the exact advice needs to see your mri However as per your narration, it seems like you are might be having disc rupture (anullar tear) / bulge with minimal nerve compression This is a relatively less serious entity which is usually well curable! Needs to consult in details with near by spine surgeons and to discuss about options of PRP/stem cell infiltration and others It is well treatable Take care.
