Hi, For my father, Age 70 yrs Height 5 ft 4inches Weight 68 kg He has done with his bypass surgery in April 2013. have observing him, from last one month, he has low high beat, means below 60 but above 50. And accompanying chest heaviness, not paining, for last two days while lying down, otherwise normal. Some test done which was normal hemoglobin 13.9 gm. Dl Total Thyroxine (T4) 7.8 mcg.dl Thyroid Stimulating Hormone (TSH) 4.6 mcIU/ml riglycerides 131 mg. Dl Cholesterol 122 mg. Dl HDL 31 mg. Dl LDL 65 mg. Dl His average bp is 125/75, pulse 58 Please tell me, the reason of low heartbeat and this type chest heaviness, I have mentioned above.

After bypass surgery, patients are put on medicines to reduce BP and heart rate. If he is on those, could be the cause or else get him checked by the nearby cardiac specialist.
