Dear lybrate-user, - To reduce weight you have to consume a well balanced diet with more of protein rich foods & do regular exercise - have more of fruits, vegetables including green leafy ones, whole grains instead of refined ones, protein rich foods such as eggs, lean meats, milk & milk products, beans, lentils, pulses, sprouts, peas, nuts - include a protein rich food in each of your meals and also as a snack in-between meals to boost your protein content - have 4-5 small meals including snacks rather than three large meals - have plenty of oral fluids so that you feel full & less hungry - avoid fried, processed & junk foods, also fat containing foods, have more of fibre containing foods - do regular exercise as per your programme - do proper warming up before playing, give rest to the affected limb, apply ice pack for 5-10 min 3-4 times a day, if pain is more take a pain relief tablet 2-3 times a day after meals - consult a dietitian for your exact requirement of calories per day as per your activity level, dietary habits & constitution for weight loss.
