I think I have OCD problem. I had a friend whom I thought of marrying but it didn't work and then later we both married different people. All this happened 8-9 years ago. We are not in touch anymore after the separation. And now I frequently get thoughts that she may threaten me, she may file compliant against me etc all weird thoughts. Not sure how do I console my self and think that nothing like that is going to happen and it's just hypothetical in nature.

Lybrate-user, It does appear that these thoughts are out of proportion to the situation and from what you say they appear frequent and intrusive. You may benefit from a consultation with a psychiatrist. If OCD is diagnosed, it is treatable with medications and cognitive behaviour therapy.
