Do not worry about it if it is not swallowed by him. Brush properly by toothpaste and use mouthwash.

He may get some ulcers in mouth which will settle with time if problem persists apply metrogylDG gel locally

If he his not facing any problem now, then he will be ok. Sometimes it cauaes irritation and reddness in tongue in gingiva. So check this for him and for now advice him to gargle with plenty of water .if any problem occurs then consult a dentist.
