How much time to grow a brain tumour. And showing its symptoms. I am suffering from health anxiety due to this disease I have MRI brain in January and the report was normal. But after that, I again scared that I got a tumour after MRI in 5 months So, please convey me. Can I relax that it is not growing in a few months or I have to do me again.

Hello Lybrate User usually Brain tumour are associated with clear signs such as headaches, seizures due to space they occupy in brain causing pressure effect. The growth factor depends on type of tumour but nevertheless symptoms and signs are often present. Since you already have scan done just few months back which is normal you need not worry. But I do want to bring to your notice another condition where fear of developing major illness or life threatening illness persists beyond reason making person undergo series of investigations due to persistent doubt/ fear. Condition called hypochondriasis which may require psychiatric help.
