I am a 22-year-old male just graduated from college with my Bachelors in Bio-medical science with the hopes of becoming a Dentist. I was accepted into a dental school to begin August of 2018, however, I had to put my dreams on hold due to excruciating pain in both my right and left forearms that radiates to my wrist and the palm/pinky side of my hand, I am right hand dominant. I have re-applied to dental school in the hopes to get better and begin August of 2019, although I still have not been able to figure out what is going on with me nor have gotten better. This began in mid-October of 2017. In October of 2017, I studied extremely hard for an exam and the next day after taking the exam I had a sharp tickling pain in my right forearm, I decided to put a splint on it and treat it with Volteran which helped occasionally with the pain and tried to lay off using my hands as much as possible. In December of 2017, I saw an orthopedic doctor who took an X-ray and saw nothing then ordered an MRI and saw a very small tear in the ligament of my right wrist and was in a cast for one month from January 4th to February 4th. During this time I still felt some pain in my right hand even in the cast. After the cast was taken off I was in a soft brace and underwent physical therapy. When the cast was taken off I felt a new burning pain in my right forearm and began to radiate into my wrist and palm of my hand. It then also began in my left forearm and into my wrist and palm of my hand. I have seen a Rheumatologist who ran several blood test on me and checked for inflammation and found nothing wrong with me. My orthopedic doctor ordered MRI of each wrist and nothing has been found abnormal. My neurologist ordered a spine MRI, brain MRI and an EMG which all resulted in everything being normal. I have had no accidents, I did receive a Hepatitis B vaccine dose 1 on January 17th as required for the Dental School Program to receive all 3 doses however since I did not begin school I did not proceed with the second and third dose. I have been doing electrotherapy and strengthening for 5 months now which slightly helps with the pain on some days but still have the chronic pain every day. The pain worsens as the day goes by due to daily activities. someday I wake up with no pain, but as soon as I begin moving and using my hands the pain automatically starts every day and becomes worse as the day goes by even when I am not using them. When I am typing, using the mouse, writing, driving, and gripping objects in my right wrist I also have popping in and out of my ulnar bone only on my right wrist. My right wrist aches more than my left and is always aching and feels like I need to crack it. In my left arm the pain is worse in the forearm, however, I still have the aching pain in my wrist and palm as in my right arm. However from July of 2018 to now since I have graduated I barely, use the computer or write trying to rest my hands from doing any activities. I've been working on my posture and strengthening for the past 4-5 months as the only suggestion I have had from my doctors but still nothing has changed.
