Should I apply things like vitamin E capsules, coconut oil, vaseline on my face if I have pimples?

Vitamin E oil is something I would love to have in my skin care and hair care products, but for my oily and acne prone skin, I think Vaseline is not an ideal choice. I would rather pour some vitamin e oil in my lightweight moisturizer and use it as my night cream. My oily skin produces excess oil and coating it with Vaseline will definitely suffocate it as it seals the surface. For a dry skin, Vaseline sounds awesome though. But I think vitamin e oil alone is good enough to provide moisture to skin.
