Concor AMLO 5�mg/5�mgtablets: 5�mg bisoprololfumarate, 5�mg amlodipine (as besilate) per tablet.�Is this tablet cause depression? Is it OK to take rivotril 0.5 mg (clonazepam) and fludac 20 (fluoxetine) for short period of only 15 days when there is a disturbed mind affecting sleep and early wakeup, anxiety etc. My cardiologist asked me to meet psychiatrist to know whether concur 5 am cause any depression? I wondered, he would have only decided. Concur 5 am keeps me under control in day time but at bed time taking only Arvast 5 mg. Night sleep affected. Frequently getting up for urination also. I am disturbed by some personal and medical reasons as well. Kindly guide me.

Dear Narendra, Since how long you are taking Concor amlo? If it has not caused depression all these days, it my not be a side effect of Concor. In persons suffering from hypertension and lipid disturbances (cholesterol), vascular depression is common. Apart from treating these medical illnesses, you need to be treated for depression also to improve your quality of life. It is OK to take rivotril and fludac, if it is prescribed for you. Probably you can stop rivotril in 15 days. But not fludac. Fludac starts its action after 2-3 weeks and needs to be continued for 6-9 months. Sleep disturbance at night needs to be diagnosed properly and treated. It might be due to waking up for urination or personal reasons or any other cause. But DON'T take rivotril for sleep. You may become dependent on it.
