I am suffering from ocd and social anxiety 5 months ago I took prodep 60 mg and bupron sr 150 mg. After taking the medicine I experience difficult to start urination due to this problem I stopped the treatment. One month ago I again start treatment medicine venlor 37. 5 mg I again experience difficult to start urination again I stopped the treatment. Now I am taking alset 50 mg [fluvoxamine maleate]regrace ls 2 mg [Risperidone, Trihexyphenidyl] I again experiencing difficult to start urination. After stopping the medicines the problem goes away. I talk this problem with psychiatrist but he saying it is due to anxiety but I am sure it is not due to anxiety. He saying these medicines don't have side effects.

Dear lybrate-user, If your psychiatrist says, it is due to anxiety. Please believe it and deal with your anxiety in non medical methods. If he says that these medicines don't have side effect, like difficulty in passing urine. There may be other reasons for your difficulty which gets precipitated by any medicine. I don't know your age. But I know you are a man. It may be due to prostate enlargement. Why don't you consult an urologist or get one ultrasound abdomen and pelvis with measurement of post void urine? By the way, find non medical management of OCD and Social anxiety.
