I was suffering from cold and cough 3 months back Later it got escaled to wheezing, brethlnes &airway inflammation. One day I had difficulty in breathing when I visited my home (I stay at hostel) This dif.in breathing was observed only when I visited home and only during night while sleeping. Later it was discovered that its allergic rintis. With docs consultation I was put on inhaler for 30 days and montral antihistamine capsules for first 15 days. My wbc count before taking medication was 13000.(Normal range upper limit is 10500) After this medication of 30 days I did a S ige test which showed ige level of 3500 (normal range 0-100) Does the ige level elevate so much in case of allergic rhinitis. Or is it a special case and fatal? How to treat high ige levels. I read through some internet source that this high level can be linked to certain kind of myeloma and cancer? Is it true? Pls help Alk photos is also high at 373 (normal range in test given as 63-320, though internet says 44-147)
