Hi, I am 30 year old female. My weight is 58. I have thyroid. October my tsh was 21.21 then doc advised me 50 mcg thyronorm and in december my tsh was 8.12 then doc advised me 75 mcg however due to some reason I did?t take 75 msc thyronorm and now on 9 january my tsh level is 18.56. Please suggest me correct dose.

Lybrate-user, Thanks for the query. TSH values mentioned show that hypothyroidism is not controlled at all. Ideally in a well controlled person TSH should be between 3 to 4 mU/L at which level all the symptoms are in check. To calculate the dosage of Levothyroxine it is necessary to know weight, height, T4 and TSH levels. Since those details are not mentioned it is difficult to give the specific dose. So you should follow the advice your doctor and take 75 mcg, then check TSH after 6 weeks. Or send all the detailsthen I will be able to suggest. Thanks.
